Kids' dental

Visits your kids actually don't mind.

For the worried six-year-old, the rough-and-tumble nine-year-old, or the teen who'd rather be anywhere else. Our team takes the time to make it feel safe — and we can usually see the whole family in one visit.

CDBS eligible? We bulk-bill at participating clinics.* Eligible children aged 0–17 can access the government-set CDBS benefit over two calendar years. We check eligibility and handle the paperwork — confirm CDBS bulk-billing with your local clinic when booking.
A gentle first visit A tour of the room, a chair ride, and a chance to meet the team. No treatment pressure on day one.
For nervous little ones A "tell, show, do" approach at the child's pace — and a parent is welcome in the room.
Family-friendly scheduling Where clinic availability allows, we'll aim to book the family into a single appointment window — one trip, one carpark.
*About CDBS eligibility: The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is a Commonwealth program. Eligibility is determined by Services Australia based on your family's circumstances. We can confirm eligibility at your child's first visit. The CDBS cap is set by government and may be updated from time to time.
Health funds & rebates

Preferred provider for major funds at participating clinics.

All 12 clinics offer on-the-day claiming — just bring your card. No-gap check-ups may be available on selected funds at participating clinics.†

Child Dental Benefits Schedule

Eligible children aged 0–17 can access the government-set CDBS benefit over two calendar years, bulk-billed at our participating clinics. We'll check your child's eligibility at the first visit using your Medicare details.

†No-gap offers apply to selected preventive services for members of participating funds. CDBS eligibility is determined by Services Australia. Amounts are set by government and subject to change.

Patient reviews describe individual, non-clinical experiences only. They are not endorsements of clinical outcomes. Any dental procedure carries risk, and results vary between individuals. Your treating dentist will explain the specific risks, benefits and alternatives relevant to you at your consultation.

Common questions

The things parents ask us most.

At what age should my child first see a dentist?
Current Australian guidance is that a child's first dental visit should happen by around age one, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. That first visit is usually short — we check development, talk through home care, and help your child get used to the environment. Your individual timing may differ; your dentist can advise at the visit.
Do you bulk-bill under the CDBS?
Yes — at our participating clinics. For children who are eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), our participating clinics bulk-bill the services covered under the scheme, so there's no gap to pay. Eligibility is determined by Services Australia based on your family's circumstances. Confirm CDBS bulk-billing is offered at your nearest clinic when booking — we can check eligibility at your child's first visit using your Medicare details.
Can we all be seen on the same day?
In most cases, yes. Tell us how many people you'd like to book and roughly the age of each, and reception will stack the appointments back-to-back in one window. Saturday mornings and after-school slots fill fastest — book a couple of weeks ahead when you can.
What if my child is scared of the dentist?
We take it slowly. Their first appointment might just be a tour — sitting in the chair, meeting the dentist, looking at the tools. You're welcome in the room. We use a "tell, show, do" approach so nothing is a surprise, and we work at your child's pace. For older children or adults who are highly anxious, sedation options can be discussed — a dentist will assess suitability on a case-by-case basis.
Are you open on Saturdays and after school?
Yes — many of our clinics offer extended weekday hours and weekend appointments. Exact opening times vary by location. Check your preferred clinic's page on myimplantdentist.com.au, or ring reception on 1300 694 675 and they'll find a time that works.
What does a standard check-up and clean cost?
Fees vary by the level of treatment needed and are always explained before anything is done. If you're with a participating health fund, we claim on the day — many patients pay little or nothing out of pocket for a routine check and clean. We can provide a written quote after your first visit if more work is recommended.
How often should we be coming in?
For most healthy adults and children, every six months is the typical recommendation — though your dentist may suggest a different interval based on individual risk factors. We'll send an SMS reminder when you're due, so you don't have to keep track.
